Factory Girl

Okay, so lately I'm so into wikipedia and I just love browsing people.
Just yesterday I re-read Andy Warhol as in the Pop Art Pope and one of his girls, Edie Sedgwick.
She was a sort of famous model/socialite but she was mostly known as Andy Warhol's "Superstar".
Though she didn't bask in her fame for long coz she died pretty young.

Y know how I love biographical movie?
Like Bobby, JFK, and La Vie En Rose?
Edie Sedgwick's life's also made into a brilliant movie : Factory Girl starring Sienna Miller.
And later on Sienna really do fall in love with the model's unique style (she had a very iconic yet unusual fashion sense with black leotards, chandelier earrings, and mini dresses) and adopted it.

First thing first, the setting is just fabulous!
I mean, I just love the 60'es.
Tres glamorous! Oh, and very art-ish.
The story was moving and very emotional for me, you fell deeply and instantly into this girl spiraled life and all her mess.
We can say that the movie was sad and depressing but the real story behind the movie is even more haunting (you'll be intrigued to googole the real Edie after watching the movie, and Hayden Christensen played an imitation of Bob Dylan who is said to have a destructive relationship with the model) .

My fave scene has to be the Edie's transformation into a Factory girl (the one when Edie chopped her hair on the stairwell of the Factory, and did a photoshoot for Vogue, and danced jazzily).
Oh, and the part where she ran out of the cab (after realizing how messed up her life is).

See the trailer here.

P.S. There was indeed Mary-Kate Olsen in the movie, appearing as a fab cameo.
