Prom-arama
you guys, i just got this info for prom (from dity, mari, eliz) a few days ago when we sorta hung out after school : we don't have an official one, only some party at Gek Tari's (who I don't even know) villa. No tickets. Anyone can come (meaning, if you don't know, well, you're screwed). On June.
this is pretty lame, if we think about it.
1. It'll probably be sooooo awkward (my biggest fear).
2. Only the "It" people (who I don't care about/know/care to know; just some high school cliche I won't miss) are gonna be there, just in case.
So, no wonder, I'm not so excited anymore.
Well, for you guys who still are (excited about prom, I mean), esp. girls, you must be pretty psyched to dress-shopping. I know I am. Well, was.
you know, my dream dress? the Alexander mcQueen one (see previous post : Wardrobe Obsession(s))?
Eliz and maria already got a few dresses in mind too.
For y'all who has no inspiration from the magazine yet, try watch some fashion shows.
Preferably the Fall-Winter collection. Preferably the couture show.
It worked for me and my buds.
Probably work for you too.
So, to help out, I post the Alexander mcQueen F/W 08 show that I consider the best fashion show I ever watched yet, packed with gorgeous crinolined ball gowns, tulle petticoats, ballerina-length multi-flounced dance dresses, each more insanely exquisite than the last. Here you go (sorry, it's divided into two videos).
Alexander McQueen F/W 08-09 part 1
Alexander McQueen F/W 08-09 part 2
at first the clothes are either black or white (which I have no objection since they're my colour, ha), but in the middle colours started to fly, which is beyond! Elxander mcQueen successfully transformed crinolined princesses, British colonial romance, and Indian exotic beauty to such amazing collection. Some even looked like "Sari" and soooo beautiful. Alexander mcQueen is my new God!
FYI, you can see (and download the pictures) the entire collection at Style.com or just click here.
